The E-Shram Card scheme is one of the initiatives taken by the Ministry of Labor & Employment, Government of India to help workers and labourers with financial aid and job opportunities. E Shram Card Payment Status 2022
Under the scheme of E-Shram yojana, the unorganised workers get the benefits provided by the Central and State governments. The Ministry of Labor & Employment, Government of India provides financial help to the workers from the unorganised sectors. Like in UP, Bihar, MP workers get Rs 1000 rupees of assistance per month in their bank account. If the workers don’t receive the benefits, they can check the status online on the official website i.e is www.eshram.gov.in. But make sure the E-Shram card and all the details are valid to avail of the benefits. Then after checking the status take a printout and can visit nearby government officials to get the scheme’s benefit. Under this scheme, these unorganised workers will be allotted a 12 digit Universal Account Number (UAN) from the Central Government and can avail the benefits. These workers can register themselves on this portal with Aadhar or bank account details etc and for any type of queries, the Central Government has issued a toll-free number 14434 to get all the answers and can register easily.

The E-Shram scheme is initiated by the Ministry of Labour and Employment to create a database of unorganised workers seeded with the Aadhaar card. This data includes details like name, occupation, address, educational qualifications, skills, family details and other basic information. After the development of the e-Shram scheme, more than 20 crore registration has been done so far. States including Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand have seen the most registration of Unorganized workers (UW’s). The term Unorganized workers mean people who are not getting a fixed salary, who are not paying tax and who are part of any private or government organisation. This scheme will help the government to get the National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW). Unorganized workers include construction workers, migrant workers, delivery workers and platform workers, street vendors, domestic workers, agriculture workers etc.
Eligibility Criteria
For the registration of E- Shram card one has to be eligible with certain criteria which are as follows:
▶ The age should be 16 to 59 years old.
▶ The applicant should be from an unorganised sector.
▶ The applicant should not be a taxpayer.
▶ Applicant should not be a member of EPFO or ESIC.

The E-Shramik scheme started with a total budget of Rupees 404 Crore for the Unorganized workers of age 16 to 59. This E-Shramik Card provides many benefits to the workers directly after registration. In which workers will get accidental Death Insurance up to 2 lakh rupees. Also 1 lakh rupees for the workers with partial disability. The E-Shramik scheme will help all the workers from unorganised sectors to avail benefits and security of Central and State Government. Under this scheme workers get the identity with their occupation and help the Government to facilitate social security and benefits to the workers of all segments. It will help all the workers of unorganised sectors to get financial support especially in the pandemic and the government to analyse the database to provide assistant benefits to these workers. As per the scheme of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the Government of India, the UP government is providing financial aid of 1000 rupees in the bank account of the workers under the scheme called Uttar Pradesh Shramik Bharan Poshan Yojana (UPSBPY). Other states are also providing financial assistance to the workers or labourers directly into their bank accounts.
