About CRPF
The Central Reserve Police Force came into existence as Crown Representative’s Police on 27th July 1939. It became the Central Reserve Police Force on enactment of the CRPF Act on 28th December 1949. It has completed 83 years of glorious history. The Force has grown into a big organization with 246 Bns, (including 203 executive Bns,05 VIP Security Bns, 6 Mahila Bns, 15 RAF Bns, 10 CoBRA Bns, 05 Signal Bns and 01 Special Duty Group, 01 Parliament Duty Group), 43 Group Centres, 22 Training Institutions, 03 CWS, 07 AWS, 03 MWS/SWS, 04 Composite Hospitals of 100 bed, 18 Composite Hospitals of 50 bed and 06 Field Hospitals.
Mission
The mission of the Central Reserve Police Force shall be to enable the government to maintain Rule of Law, Public Order and Internal Security effectively and efficiently, to Preserve National Integrity and Promote Social Harmony and Development by upholding supremacy of the Constitution.
Civic Action ProgrammeIn addition to the operational activities to curb ant-social elements, CRPF conducts a lot of welfare activities for general public which is known as “Civic Action Program”. These support activities not only help in effective control of anti-social activities by miscreants but also helps to bridge the gap between the villagers/local public and security personnel. Under its ‘civic action programme’, the force distributes blankets, medicines and various other essential commodities to villagers as per their requirement. There has been various initiatives which helped providing street lights, training for youth as security guards, providing elementary education.
CRPF Constable Recruitment 2023: The Gazette Notice and Recruitment Regulations for the Recruitment of 1,29,929 Constables (General Duty) (Male-125262 and Female-4667) in the pay range of Rs. 21700-69100/- have been made public by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) (Level-3).
