About Post- Institute of Engineering & Rural Technology (IERT), Prayagraj has released the Information Brochure for IERT Entrance Examination 2026. IERT is Asia’s first polytechnic, established in 1955, and is approved by AICTE & recognized by U.P. Government. It offers 3-Year Engineering Diploma (13 branches), 2-Year Management Diploma (3 branches), and 1.5-Year Post Diploma in Computer Application. Admission is based on entrance examination merit. Candidates from Uttar Pradesh are primarily eligible; candidates from other states may be considered only if UP seats remain vacant.

Answer: The entrance exam is of 3 hours duration with 75 multiple choice objective questions carrying maximum 300 marks. Each correct answer carries 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. For courses with interview, an additional 100 marks are allotted for interview.

Answer: There is no upper age limit for any course. The minimum age requirement varies by course: 14 years for Engineering Diploma, 16 years for Management Diploma, and 18 years for Post Diploma in Computer Application, as on 01-07-2026.
